A few useful details.
Will this upload or save my supplier files?
No. The comparison tool reads files in this browser tab and doesn't upload them or save them to browser storage. Closing or reloading clears the loaded comparison. Exported files remain on your device. The website host may receive standard request metadata when serving the page. See data handling.
Can I use Excel files?
Export each worksheet as CSV UTF-8 first. The pilot supports CSV files up to 5 MB and 10,000 rows each, with unique headers. Native XLSX, PDF and scanned documents aren't supported.
What does the margin calculation include?
Gross margin is (selling price − purchase cost) ÷ selling price. Both before and after use the current selling price mapped from the previous file. It excludes shipping, taxes, discounts, payment fees and other expenses. It's not markup or net profit. Missing selling prices are not estimated.
What if my supplier lists retail prices instead of my costs?
Use price-only mode. Margin checks require your actual purchase costs and selling prices. Both lists must use USD and comparable units or packs; the tool doesn't convert currencies or pack sizes.
Does it update Shopify or connect to my store?
No. It produces a review report, not a ready-to-import Shopify file. There are no integrations or automated price changes. Product IDs are matched exactly after trimming surrounding spaces; duplicates and invalid values need your review.
Is the subscription available?
Not yet. The current tool is free. We're testing demand for a $39/month saved workspace before building accounts or billing. Any future paid offer will describe the actual available features and terms before you choose to buy.
